Chris Eubank Jr. Aims High: Canelo Álvarez in Sight
Following his anticipated match against Conor Benn on November 15th, Chris Eubank Jr. has his sights set on an epic-proportioned fight against Canelo Álvarez in early 2026. This was revealed by promoter Ben Shalom. Eubank will face Benn for the second time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, after having won their first encounter by unanimous decision in April. This second fight is part of the contractual obligations between both boxers. The fight will be contested at middleweight (160 pounds), with a 10-pound rehydration clause, as happened in the first fight. In the event of victory, Eubank Jr. will seek a mega-fight against Álvarez or even against Terence Crawford in the first part of 2026.Shalom added that, if Eubank wins, they will seek the best opponents. “Canelo, Crawford, those are the two names he would like to fight and we hope to make that happen early next year.”“2026 is going to be a great year [for Eubank]”, Shalom stated.

“Canelo has never fought in the UK, the biggest star in boxing, and you have the UK’s biggest boxing star [Eubank], the only one who could really make sense for Canelo. I think Wembley would sell out. I think it’s one of the biggest fights that could possibly be made in world boxing. Chris is focused on November 15th, then we can look at that fight.”“I think [Canelo] is the fight,” Shalom said.
