Chris Eubank Jr. targets a fight against Canelo Álvarez
British boxer Chris Eubank Jr. has a possible fight against Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez in his sights for the beginning of next year, as long as he manages to defeat Conor Benn in their rematch on November 15th. This was revealed by promoter Ben Shalom. Eubank Jr. will face Benn for the second time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. In their first encounter, Eubank Jr. won by unanimous decision in April. According to the terms of the contract, both boxers are obliged to fight twice. The rematch will take place at middleweight, with a 160-pound limit and a 10-pound rehydration clause, as it was in the first fight. If Eubank Jr. is victorious, he will seek a high-caliber fight against Álvarez, or even Terence Crawford, in early 2026.“I think he will emerge victorious in a resounding manner [against Benn] and then he will want to face the best. Canelo and Crawford are the two names he would like to fight and we hope we can make that happen early next year.”“[2026] is going to be a great year [for Eubank]”, Shalom stated.

“Canelo has never fought in the UK, he’s the biggest star in boxing, and you have the biggest British boxing star [Eubank], the only one who could really make sense for Canelo. I think it would sell out Wembley, I think it’s one of the biggest fights that could be made in world boxing. Chris is focused on November 15th, then we can look at that fight.”“I think [Canelo] is the fight,” Shalom said.
