Chris Eubank Jr. is firmly intending to continue his boxing career, with his sights set on a return to the ring by mid-2025, according to his promoter, Ben Shalom. Eubank Jr. suffered a unanimous decision defeat against Conor Benn two weeks ago. After the fight, the boxer stated that he had gone through a difficult time during his preparation, although he did not specify the details.
Both pugilists had to comply with a 10-pound rehydration clause on the day of the fight, which meant they couldn’t weigh more than 170 pounds on the morning of the match. While Eubank Jr. has competed in the middleweight category (160 pounds) in the past, he made it clear that he doesn’t consider that weight to be ideal for him.
Despite not ensuring his continuity in boxing after the fight, Shalom has confirmed that Eubank Jr. aims to return to the ring next year.Shalom added that Eubank Jr. “probably threw 30% of the punches. Everyone can speculate what the reason is. He will have to deal with that in due time, but he wasn’t the same man he could have been.”He’s okay, he’s recovering. Obviously he’s devastated, but anyone can see that wasn’t Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring.

Shalom also mentioned that, if the rehydration clause had not existed and Eubank Jr. regained his optimal physical condition, the trilogy with Benn could be an option. He wants to continue, but first he must be in shape and healthy.

In the event that a third fight doesn’t materialize, Shalom assured that there are various options for Eubank Jr., but that they will not make hasty decisions until the boxer is fully recovered.
There are many names available, but first he must be in shape and healthy. Once he is physically 100%, we will be able to make that decision. I think it will be in the middle of next year.
