Chris Eubank Jr. intends to continue his boxing career and aims to return to the ring in mid-2026, according to statements from his promoter Ben Shalom. Eubank Jr. suffered a points defeat to Conor Benn a few weeks ago. After the fight, the boxer claimed to have gone through difficult times during his preparation, although he did not specify the details. Both pugilists had to comply with a rehydration clause that limited their weight to 170 pounds on the morning of the fight. Eubank Jr., who has competed in the middleweight category (160 pounds), made it clear that he does not consider this weight to be ideal for him. Despite doubts about his continuity in boxing, Shalom has confirmed that Eubank Jr. is aiming to fight again next year.
Shalom added that Eubank Jr. threw approximately 30% of the punches he usually lands. Although the specific reasons are unknown, the promoter indicated that the boxer “had to deal with that in due time”. “He wants to continue, but first he must be in shape and healthy,” he added. Shalom also mentioned the possibility of a trilogy with Benn if the rehydration clause didn’t exist and Eubank Jr. regains his best physical condition. He’s doing okay, he’s recovering. Obviously he’s devastated, but anyone can see that wasn’t Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring,” Shalom stated.

Shalom concluded that the decision on the next rivals will be made once Eubank Jr. is physically 100%, estimating that this will happen by the middle of next year. There are many names available, but it must be in shape and healthy,” Shalom affirmed.
