Chris Eubank Jr. Fined by the British Boxing Board of Control

The British Boxing Board of Control has imposed a fine of £10,000 (approximately $14,000) on Chris Eubank Jr. for misuse of social media. Eubank Jr. appeared before the board last week for allegedly using a sauna to lose weight before his fight against Conor Benn in April. A video posted on social media appeared to show Eubank using a sauna to reach the 160-pound weight limit in the middleweight category before the fight. Eubank Jr. defeated Benn on points, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. While he wasn’t fined for using a sauna, a practice prohibited by the board, he was sanctioned for the misuse of social media.

Mr. Eubank Jnr. was found in breach of Regulation 25 for misuse of social media.
