The boxing week, although not very busy, left some interesting movements in the division rankings.

Schofield Breaks Into Lightweight Ranking

Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield starred in the most outstanding performance, knocking out former world champion Tevin Farmer in 78 seconds. Schofield, with three knockdowns over Farmer, achieved the most important victory of his career and is positioned in the number 9 spot among lightweights, while Farmer disappears from the ranking. Jake Paul could get a place in the WBA and WBC rankings after his decision victory over Julio César Chávez Jr., but he did not manage to enter the top 10 of cruiserweight. Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez remains in second place in the cruiserweight division, after prevailing in the second half of his fight against Yuniel Dorticos, maintaining his status as unified champion. On the same card, Raúl Curiel obtained a technical knockout victory in the fourth round against Victor Ezequiel Rodríguez, in an eliminator for the WBA welterweight title, securing his number 10 spot in the 147-pound ranking. In the heavyweight division, Deontay Wilder returned to the ring, defeating Tyrrell Herndon in the seventh round, achieving his first victory since 2022. However, this triumph was not enough for Wilder to re-enter the top 10. Christian Mbili, for his part, defeated Maciej Sulecki in one round, consolidating his number 2 position in the super middleweight division. Boxing rankings by division highlight the best athletes in each weight category. These rankings are subject to change based on recent results and performances. Boxers who announce their change of weight category will be included in the new division, if applicable, once they fight in it. Those who hold titles in two divisions may be ranked in both. Boxers who have not competed in the last 12 months, and do not have scheduled fights, will be removed from the rankings until they fight again. Likewise, any boxer who tests positive for performance-enhancing substances will be eliminated.
