Adam Azim se prepara para su regreso al ring en enero.
Boxer Adam Azim is scheduled to return to the ring on January 31st in London. The news, confirmed by his promoter Ben Shalom, anticipates a possible match against a rival ranked among the top 15 in the super lightweight category. Although the agreement has not yet been finalized, Boxxer is close to securing an opponent for what will be Azim’s first fight on the BBC. Azim (14-1, 11 KOs) demonstrated his dominance by defeating American Kurt Scoby earlier this month, on the undercard of the Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn II fight. His performance was notable, winning every round and culminating in a stoppage in the twelfth round.

We want someone who truly believes they can win. But there aren’t many people willing to take a risk.

Shane McGuigan, Adam Azim’s coach

After Azim’s victory against Scoby, his coach, Shane McGuigan, pointed out that finding opponents for Azim could be complicated, as few would be willing to face the 23-year-old young star.

Shalom, for his part, affirmed that they are on their way to fighting again in the new year.

He is going to be the headliner on BBC Two at the end of January, which is huge for him.

Shalom also highlighted Azim’s great performance against Kurt Scoby, which, according to him, captivated the American audience. In addition, he expressed that Azim does not receive the recognition he deserves, considering him the most talented boxer in his country. He stressed that this fight could be key for Azim to go from being a great star to a household name. Currently, Azim holds the number 9 position in the WBC super lightweight ranking and number 10 in the IBF and WBO.
