Andy Murray Considers Coaching After Experience with Djokovic

British tennis player Andy Murray has left open the possibility of returning to training, after his collaboration with Novak Djokovic ended after six months. Murray, who retired from professional tennis after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, worked with Djokovic in several tournaments, including the Australian Open.

I would do it again at some point. I don’t think it will happen immediately.

The tennis player stated that, although he wasn’t planning on going into coaching immediately after retiring, the opportunity to work with Djokovic was unique. “It was a brilliant opportunity for me. We had some very nice moments off the court. The results weren’t what we wanted, but we tried,” Murray added.

Since his retirement, Murray has dedicated more time to golf. This was evidenced when he joined Gloria, a young 10-year-old tennis player, for an exhibition match against Laura Robson and Jay, aged seven, at a special event. “My tennis is terrible, apologies for what you are going to witness,” Murray joked. “Obviously, I have missed being here. It’s the first time I’m not involved in a grass season in a long time, but now I have a new life and I’m enjoying being away from the sport a bit.”
