Licey Tigers shut out Gigantes del Cibao in San Francisco

Rookie Shaun Anderson shined in his mound debut, while Cristhian Adames and Mel Rojas Jr. drove in the necessary offense for the Tigres del Licey to defeat the Gigantes del Cibao 2-0 this Wednesday at the Julián Javier Stadium. With this victory, Licey adds its third consecutive win and improves its record to 12-16, while the Giants fall to 11-16.

Shaun Anderson’s Outstanding Performance

Anderson had a memorable performance, controlling the game from the mound. He allowed only two walks and struck out seven batters, securing the victory for his team. His dominance kept the Giants’ offense at bay throughout the game. His counterpart, Shane Green (0-1), also delivered a solid performance, pitching five innings with two runs, four hits, and five strikeouts, but took the loss.

Effective Tigers Relay

The blue bullpen did its job. Anderson Severino (6th), Luis Frías (7th), Dauri Moreta (8th) and Jean Carlos Mejía (9th, save) secured the victory.
