Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua on December 19th

Most Valuable Promotions has announced the preliminary fights for the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event, scheduled for December 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The live broadcast will be available via Netflix. The fight card, which was originally planned for the Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight, remains largely intact. The co-main event will be Alycia Baumgardner’s defense of her unified super featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin. However, a notable change is that Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman at the start of the main card. Instead, former UFC champion Tyron Woodley will take his place to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have suffered defeats against Jake Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley lost both fights against “The Problem Child”, one by split decision in August 2021 and the other by knockout in the rematch in December of that same year.

I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job, always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.

Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who was the UFC welterweight champion from 2016 to 2019, will seek his first boxing victory against one of the greatest champions in MMA history.

Facing occasions like this are the moments when legends are born.

The preliminary card will also include the defense of Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson’s undisputed bantamweight title against Amanda Galle, Yokasta Valle putting her WBC strawweight title on the line against Yadira Bustillos, and Avious Griffin facing Justin Cardona in a welterweight bout. In addition, two-time Brazilian Olympian Keno Marley will make his professional debut in a four-round cruiserweight bout against Diarra Davis. The WBA super lightweight title fight between champion Gary Antuanne Russell and Andy Hiraoka is no longer part of the card. Anderson Silva vs. Tyron Woodley is an iconic matchup, continuing to elevate Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day to one of the most exciting combat sports events of the decade. This is the gladiatorial sports spectacle of the 21st century. A main event that has captivated the entire world.
