Glasnow to 60-Day Injured List
The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, Tyler Glasnow, has been moved to the 60-day injured list. This move was made on Saturday, coinciding with the claim of catcher Chuckie Robinson after being placed on waivers. Robinson, 30, had been designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels this week.
Glasnow initially went on the 15-day injured list on April 28 due to right shoulder inflammation. With this change, the right-handed pitcher could return at the end of June. Last week, he threw his first bullpen session.
So far this season, Glasnow has participated in five starts, recording a 1-0 record with an ERA of 4.50 in 18 innings.
His first season with the Dodgers was interrupted last year due to tendinitis in his right elbow.
Robinson, for his part, batted .272 with a home run and 18 RBIs in Triple-A Salt Lake City. He debuted in the Major Leagues with the Cincinnati Reds, playing 25 games, hitting two home runs and driving in five runs. He also played with the Chicago White Sox last year. Has a fielding percentage of .992 and has caught runners stealing in 12 of 48 attempts.
