Jaden McDaniels Out with Wrist Injury, Halts Streak with the Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels will miss Wednesday’s game against Washington due to a sprained left wrist. This absence marks the first time in almost two years that McDaniels will not be on the court.
In Monday’s triumph over Dallas, with a score of 120-96 in favor of Minnesota, McDaniels played only 23 minutes, his shortest playing time of the season. He left the game in the third quarter, when the Timberwolves were already leading by 27 points.
The last time McDaniels was absent from a game was December 8, 2023, missing eight consecutive games due to a sprained right ankle. After that, he played in 188 straight games, including 31 playoff games in the last two years.
McDaniels, recognized as Minnesota’s best perimeter defender, averages 17.5 points per game and leads the NBA in three-pointers with an impressive 52.1%. In addition, his field goal percentages (55.3%) and free throws (84.2%) are the highest of his six seasons in the league.
