Bayamón, Puerto Rico – In an encounter full of emotions, the Vaqueros de Bayamón fell to the Piratas de Quebradillas with a final score of 93-91, in a new day of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN).

Dominican Chris Duarte, a key piece in the Mavericks’ scheme, contributed 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists, but his participation was cut short due to foul trouble.

The game, held at the Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum, was decided in the final moments, with an outstanding comeback by the Pirates, who managed to score 28 points in the last quarter.

Emmanuel Mudiay was the figure of the match, leading Quebradillas’ offense with 38 points, demonstrating a 68.2% field goal percentage and 50% from the three-point line.

Despite a solid collective performance in the third quarter, where the Cowboys scored 31 points, the team failed to maintain the lead, scoring only 16 points in the final quarter.

Duarte, who was on the court for 20 minutes, was fundamental in Bayamón’s offense until he was excluded for accumulating five personal fouls.

Stephen Thompson Jr. led the Cowboys’ offense with 22 points off the bench, followed by Javale McGee with 21 and Danilo Gallinari with 16.

On the Quebradillas side, in addition to Mudiay, Thomas Robinson stood out with 20 points and Zhaire Smith with 10 and two steals.

With this result, the Cowboys’ positive streak playing at home is interrupted, while the Pirates consolidate their position as one of the strongest teams in the league.
