Promoter Eddie Hearn has urged Tyson Fury to “get us out of this misery,” following the former heavyweight champion’s insinuations and provocations on social media about a possible return to boxing to face Anthony Joshua.
The expected fight between Fury and Joshua, considered one of the greatest in boxing history, has still not materialized, despite constant speculation.
Following Fury’s retirement announcement in January, many feared they wouldn’t see this highly anticipated fight between the two British heavyweights. However, Fury has hinted on social media at the possibility of a return.

Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has stated that the fight could be finalized with “a phone call”, but has asked Fury to make a definitive decision.
I feel like Tyson Fury is a bit of a wind-up merchant, isn’t he? All we see on Instagram is him.

Hearn wonders why Fury is generating these expectations and asks him to clarify his intentions.
Last month, promoter Frank Warren expressed his desire to see the fight, despite Fury’s retirement, although he indicated that he would not try to convince him to fight again.
Joshua will undergo surgery for an elbow injury and is expected to return to the ring at the end of the year, regardless of whether he faces Fury or not. Hearn has made it clear his desire for Joshua to fight Fury.
We depend on Tyson Fury. We are ready, but obviously he has to be comfortable. He has to want to do it.

Hearn emphasizes that Fury is competitive and knows that in his mind he will want to face Anthony Joshua. Therefore, he encourages him to “dust off the gloves and make it happen” the fight.
