Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. called up to the Portugal U-16 national team

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., son of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has been called up for the first time to the Portugal under-16 national team. The fifteen-year-old footballer, currently with Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia, where his father plays, has been included in a list of 22 players for the Tournament of Federations Cup in Turkey. This youth tournament will feature matches against teams from Turkey, Wales, and England between October 30th and November 4th.

His call-up comes after having been called up for Portugal’s under-15s in May, and his progression fuels the possibility of sharing the pitch with his father in the future. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has also spent time in the youth categories of Juventus and Manchester United, clubs where his father played before joining the Saudi Professional League in December 2022.
