The basketball star, Caitlin Clark, is preparing for a new challenge, but this time off the courts. The player, whose second season in the WNBA was cut short by injuries, will return to action on the golf course.

Clark will participate in next month’s pro-am tournament at The Annika, an LPGA Tour event. This announcement marks Clark’s return to the sporting arena, albeit in a different discipline. The pro-am will take place on November 12 at the Pelican Golf Club and will be open to the public. Last year, Clark, fresh off her first WNBA season and being the Rookie of the Year, drew a large crowd and generated great excitement. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark maintains a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries. She only played 13 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. The Indiana Fever, despite reaching the playoffs, were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.I had an incredible time at The Annika last November and participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game.
