Ottawa Senators: Tkachuk Injured in Loss to Predators

In a match marked by adversity, the Ottawa Senators suffered a 4-1 defeat against the Nashville Predators. The situation became even more complicated when their captain, Brady Tkachuk, was forced to leave the game in the last nine minutes of the third period.

The incident that caused Tkachuk’s injury occurred in the first period, after a check by Roman Josi, defenseman for the Predators. Tkachuk crashed into the boards unfavorably, grabbing his right forearm as he got up.

Although he continued playing, his performance was not optimal. Senators coach Travis Green commented on the situation: “Obviously, he didn’t finish the game, he tried to. I don’t have a real update. They’re evaluating him right now.”

Green didn’t want to qualify Tkachuk’s exit as a precautionary measure, but he did confirm that it was a consequence of the hit in the first period.

The possible absence of Tkachuk represents a challenge for the Senators, who were already without Drake Batherson.
