WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Spectacle in 2027

In an unprecedented milestone, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will cross the borders of North America to bring its spectacle to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027. The official announcement was made on Friday by WWE. Since its debut in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. Now, the vision of Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, to take the company’s biggest event abroad, is materializing.

The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, revealed the news via a live video on Snapchat, now deleted.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom that includes multiple shows over a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
