Mac Jones Ready to Play Despite Injury

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones is expected to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to sources close to the situation.

Jones, who was in doubt due to an oblique injury, has shown a remarkable recovery.

Niners wide receiver Jauan Jennings is also scheduled to participate in the game, despite being questionable with ankle and rib injuries.

Jones, who played with knee problems in the previous game against the Los Angeles Rams, suffered the oblique injury at the end of that match.

Although he participated in training in a limited way, Jones was optimistic about his availability for the start of the game.

Meanwhile, there’s a chance that San Francisco’s starting quarterback, Brock Purdy, could return for next week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. The same goes for 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who is recovering from a knee injury.

Jones has participated in three games for San Francisco this season, and the 49ers have won all of them.
