Mbappé Misses Match Against Iceland Due to Injury

The captain of the French national team, Kylian Mbappé, will not be available for the World Cup qualifying match against Iceland on Monday due to a right ankle injury, according to the French Football Federation (FFF) on Saturday. Real Madrid’s star scored in France’s 3-0 victory over Azerbaijan on Friday, but had to be substituted in the 83rd minute due to injury. Previously, before the international break, he had suffered an injury to the same ankle during a match against Villarreal. France confirmed that the star striker will not travel to Reykjavik and, instead, will return to Madrid.

After the return of the French delegation to Clairefontaine, the captain of the French national team spoke with Didier Deschamps.
