WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

Attention wrestling fanatics! WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, will break boundaries and be held for the first time outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host this spectacle as part of the “Riyadh Season” of 2027. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has remained on North American soil. However, WWE’s vision of global expansion, led by Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, will finally materialize.

This is an opportunity to demonstrate that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after confirmation from Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who revealed the news through a video on Snapchat.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented levels and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that includes holding multiple shows in the country for a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of the “Big Four” WWE events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
