RAF Pays Tribute to Hulk Hogan with WWE Support
Real American Freestyle (RAF) Wrestling joins World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for a touching video tribute dedicated to the late commissioner Hulk Hogan. This tribute will be broadcast during the inaugural RAF event, scheduled for Saturday. Hogan, a key figure in the popularization of the then World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71. The event, which will take place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, will be broadcast via FOX Nation. Months before his departure, Hogan shared his enthusiasm with The Associated Press about RAF, his new company co-founded with Chad Bronstein.RAF and WWE maintain a cordial relationship. Real American Beer, RAF’s main sponsor, is 10% owned by WWE and was also co-founded by Bronstein. American Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, one of WWE’s most important stars in the early 2000s, will participate as a commentator. Bronstein revealed that Hogan suggested Angle’s participation. In addition, former WWE manager Jimmy Hart and former world champion John Layfield will also be involved in Saturday’s event. The main event will feature a showdown between Wyatt Hendrickson and Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders from Egypt. Other notable men’s matches include Bo Nickal versus Jacob Cardenas; Yianni Diakomihalis versus Bajrang Punia; Darrion Caldwell versus Real Woods; and Austin Gomez versus Lance Palmer. In the women’s category, matchups were scheduled between Kennedy Blades and Alejandra Rivera, as well as Sarah Hildebrandt versus Zeltzin Hernandez.I was very proud.
