Aaron Judge leads the Yankees’ comeback with an epic home run

In an emotional night at Yankee Stadium, Aaron Judge once again proved why he is the undisputed leader of the Yankees. With an imposing three-run home run, the New York captain led a spectacular comeback that culminated in a 9-6 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. The Yankees, who seemed destined for defeat, found themselves down by five runs in the early innings. However, the situation changed drastically in the fourth inning. Judge hit a ball that sent the ball to the foul pole in left field, tying the score and unleashing euphoria in the stadium.
One inning later, Jazz Chisholm Jr. extended the lead with a solo home run, solidifying the comeback. The Yankees, with the season on the line, showed character and grit, avoiding elimination and tying the series.
Starting pitcher Carlos Rodón struggled, but the New York bullpen took care of silencing the Canadian offense. Judge’s home run, against a 99.7 mph fastball, was a historic moment. It was the first recorded in the pitch tracking era (since 2008) against such a fast and inside pitch.

“That swing changed everything,” commented the Yankees manager after the game. “Aaron ignited the team and the entire stadium.”

Judge not only shined with the bat, but also made a spectacular catch in right field, demonstrating his total impact on the game. Ben Rice added a sacrifice fly, while the bullpen completed 6.2 innings of scoreless relief. With this victory, the Yankees forced a decisive Game 4 in the Bronx. Judge summed up the night with a phrase: “In the Bronx, you never give up. We fight until the last out.”
