Maddison misses rest of season through injury
Tottenham midfielder James Maddison will play no further part in the season due to a knee injury, manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed.
Maddison suffered the injury in Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final last week.
“It doesn’t look good,” Postecoglou said after the match, and fears that Maddison faced a lengthy absence were confirmed on Wednesday.

“He will miss the rest of this season, which is disappointing for him,” Postecoglou said in a press conference before Thursday’s second-leg match against Bodo/Glimt.

“I’m disappointed for him because he has been a real catalyst for us. He will be missed, but that has been the story of our season.
«All the others from the first leg have traveled and are ready to play.»
The news means that Maddison will miss the Europa League final if Tottenham qualifies.
Postecoglou also confirmed that captain Son Heung-Min, who has been out with a foot injury, has not traveled with the team.
However, striker Dominic Solanke will play after missing Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against West Ham on Saturday due to a quadriceps injury he sustained against Bodo/Glimt.
