Unrivaled: Women’s 3×3 Basketball League Comes to Philadelphia

The prominent women’s 3×3 basketball league, led by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, has announced an exciting stop in Philadelphia for its second season. The event, which will be held at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, home of the NBA’s 76ers and the NHL’s Flyers, on January 30, 2026, promises to be a milestone in the history of women’s basketball. The league, which will have four teams competing in consecutive matches, will use the standard competition format. The full calendar and participating teams will be revealed in November. This stop will mark the return of professional women’s basketball to Philadelphia since 1998.

This innovative league is intended to elevate the women’s basketball ecosystem as a whole, and we are honored that Philadelphia has been chosen as its first stop.

Wanda Sykes, Unrivaled Investor
Although Unrivaled’s main headquarters will remain at the Wayfair Arena in Miami, this initiative is part of the league’s long-term sustainability strategy, driven by fan participation. The league has announced the expansion from six to eight teams and secured an additional investment, raising its valuation to $340 million before its second season. WNBA stars, such as Brittney Griner and Alyssa Thomas, have confirmed their participation in the upcoming season. In addition, new figures will join, including Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Plum, and Sonia Citron. The league reported that 46 of the 48 roster spots have already been filled, generating anticipation about the latest additions. On social media, attention is focused on Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, who did not participate in the inaugural season and could join. Unrivaled’s general manager, Clare Duwelius, commented that they are in negotiations with several players and that the latest additions will be announced soon.
