Andrew Giuliani will lead the task force for the 2026 World Cup
Former President Donald Trump announced that Andrew Giuliani, son of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, will assume the role of CEO of the presidential task force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The most important soccer tournament in the world will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
During Trump’s first term, Andrew Giuliani was a special assistant to the president and associate director of the Office of Public Liaison. Trump described him as a golfer and a very competitive person.
Trump also informed that Carlos Cordeiro, senior advisor to FIFA, will act as senior advisor to the task force.
Together, this group will help plan the largest, safest, and most extraordinary soccer tournament in history.

The statement was made at a task force meeting attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. Vice President JD Vance.
Trump expressed his desire for visitors traveling to the United States for the event to have a smooth experience.
The United States will also host the first Club World Cup, which will be held from June 14 to July 13 in eleven cities.
America will welcome the world.

Infantino estimated that both events will generate almost 50 billion dollars in economic output for the United States and will create nearly 300,000 jobs.
Vance, who is vice president of the task force, assured that the group will do everything possible to ensure the success of the events.
