Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has been called up to represent Portugal in the under-15 category.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son, known as Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior, has been selected to join Portugal’s under-15 team. This will be his first participation in an international tournament to be held in Croatia.
The young player’s outstanding performances in the Al Nassr academy have not gone unnoticed. The coach of the Portuguese U-15 team, João Santos, has included the 14-year-old forward in the list of 22 players called up.
His father, Cristiano Ronaldo, who holds the record for the all-time leading international goalscorer with 136 goals and the most appearances with 219, expressed his joy.
The captain of the Portuguese national team shared his pride in his son’s call-up on Instagram, writing: “Proud of you, son!”.
The Vlatko Markovic tournament will take place from May 13th to 18th, and in it Portugal will face Japan, Greece, England, and a fourth opponent yet to be determined.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who turned 40 on February 5th, expressed his desire earlier this year to play alongside his son before retiring.
