WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

Iconic WrestleMania will break boundaries in 2027, marking a milestone by being held for the first time outside of North America. WWE’s biggest event will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. The decision to take the show to Saudi Arabia represents a strategic global expansion for WWE.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after the revelation by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, who anticipated the news through a Snapchat video.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia
WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a multi-million dollar deal that guarantees multiple shows for a decade. The upcoming 2025 Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in the country. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive edition of the event in the city.
