Chris Eubank Jr. targets Canelo Álvarez for 2026
Chris Eubank Jr. has his sights set on a fight against Canelo Álvarez in early 2026, as long as he defeats Conor Benn in their rematch on November 15th. This was confirmed by promoter Ben Shalom. Eubank will face Benn for the second time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, after having won their first encounter by unanimous decision in April. Both boxers are obligated to fight twice under the terms of the contract. The rematch will also be held at the 160-pound middleweight limit, with a 10-pound rehydration clause, as in the first fight. If he wins, Eubank will seek a mega-fight against Álvarez or even Terence Crawford in the first part of 2026.“I think he will come out victorious emphatically [against Benn] and then he will want the best. Canelo, Crawford, those are the two names he would like to fight and we hope to be able to make that happen early next year.”“[2026] is going to be a great year [for Eubank]”, Shalom stated.

“Canelo has never fought in the UK, the biggest star in boxing, and you have the biggest star in boxing in the UK [Eubank], the only one who could really make sense for Canelo. I think it fills Wembley. I think it’s one of the biggest fights that could possibly be made in the boxing world. Chris is focused on November 15, then we can analyze that fight.”“I think [Canelo] is the fight,” Shalom said.
