England coach John Mitchell has expressed his indifference to criticism of his team’s playing style as they prepare for the World Cup semi-final against France at Ashton Gate. The strategy focuses on capitalizing on the strength of the maul and scrum, key elements following their victory over Scotland. Of the 38 tries scored by England in their four World Cup matches, 22 have been the product of their powerful pack.

“I don’t care what others think,” Mitchell declared, although he also stated that his team possesses various tools to achieve its goals.

Forward Hannah Botterman, returning after recovering from a back spasm, will be fundamental for England in their attempt to dominate their Six Nations rivals.
