The No. 11 team’s strategy brought Hamlin to the pits for the last time with 44 laps to go. Following a caution, Hamlin regained the lead, overtaking Brad Keselowski on the restart. This victory also represented Toyota’s 200th win in NASCAR’s premier series. Elliott apologized for the incident. Additionally, the passing of Bill Davis was announced, who won 40 races in the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck series between 1993 and 2008.
