Alcaraz and Sinner: Another Epic Final in the Davis Cup?
US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz could face Jannik Sinner again in a final, this after the draw for the Davis Cup Final 8, where Spain and Italy were on opposite sides of the bracket.
Spain will face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals, with the possibility of facing Germany or Argentina. For their part, Italy, the current champion, will play against Austria.
The other spot in the semifinals will be contested between France and Belgium.
Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at the US Open, achieving his second title in the tournament and the sixth Grand Slam title of his career. In addition, with this victory he regained the number one ranking.
The Davis Cup Finals 8 will be held in Bologna, Italy, from November 18 to 23.
