WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

For the first time in its history, WrestleMania will leave North America. The “Showcase of the Immortals” will head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027, WWE announced on Friday. Since its creation in 1985, WrestleMania had only been held in North American cities. The idea of taking the company’s biggest event abroad had been hinted at by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and will now become a reality.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes just days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, revealed in a now-deleted Snapchat live video that WrestleMania would be moving to Saudi Arabia.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans worldwide.

The collaboration between WWE and Saudi Arabia dates back to 2018, with a one billion dollar agreement that includes multiple events over ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania.
