Tom Brady returns to the field… in flag football!

The legendary quarterback and now minority shareholder of the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady, has announced his return to the playing field, albeit in a different way. Brady will participate in the “The Fanatics Flag Football Classic”, an innovative tournament in collaboration with Fanatics, Fox Sports, and OBB Media. This event, which will take place on March 21, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will feature Brady leading one of the three teams that will compete in a flag football tournament.

“I felt it was the perfect time to get back on the field and get my competitive juices flowing,” Brady stated.

The tournament will feature the participation of prominent figures in American football, including: Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Sauce Gardner, Myles Garrett, Brock Bowers, Maxx Crosby, Tyreek Hill, Odell Beckham Jr., and his former teammate, Rob Gronkowski. More participants will be announced in the coming months, including athletes from other disciplines and celebrities. The teams will be led by coaches Pete Carroll, Sean Payton, and Kyle Shanahan. Flag football will make its debut at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. NFL teams voted in May to allow their players to participate.

“I have always admired the power of flag football, the fastest-growing sport in the world, and how it connects fans of all ages,” Brady said. “I want to help continue the global movement and the momentum that our game is having.”
