WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

The excitement in the wrestling world is rising. For the first time, WrestleMania, WWE’s biggest spectacle, will be held outside of North America. The event is moving to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027. WWE announced this on Friday. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania had only been held in North American cities. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, had hinted at the possibility of taking the event beyond borders, and now it becomes a reality.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news in a live Snapchat video, which was later deleted.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom, spanning ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas will host WrestleMania.
