Aryna Sabalenka Conquers the US Open and Solidifies Her Dominance in Women’s Tennis
New York – Aryna Sabalenka, world number one, won the US Open, defending her title and silencing her critics with an impressive performance in the final. After two disappointing finals this year, Sabalenka arrived in New York with the determination to crown her Grand Slam season with a triumph. The Belarusian tennis player faced Amanda Anisimova in an intense battle that culminated in a score of 6-3, 7-6 (3) in 94 minutes. In a clash of titans, Sabalenka demonstrated her power from the start. Although she experienced moments of tension, especially in the second set, she knew how to remain calm and take the victory. Sabalenka, at a critical moment, was about to lose control, but managed to take a deep breath and focus on the next point.The 27-year-old tennis player, after securing the victory, knelt down and covered her face, visibly moved by the achievement. The victory marked her fourth Grand Slam title, all obtained on hard court since the beginning of the 2023 season. Sabalenka became the first woman to win consecutive US Open titles since Serena Williams in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
