UFC Confirms Event at the White House for 2026
UFC CEO Dana White announced that the live event to be held at the White House on July 4, 2026, is a done deal. Through a video posted on social media, White revealed that UFC officials “made it happen” on Thursday and promised more details about the event in the coming weeks. The idea of a UFC event in the White House gardens was first mentioned by former President Donald Trump last month, as part of the celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary.Trump maintains a friendship with White and is a recognized UFC fan. Over the last month, White has largely avoided answering questions about potential fights for the proposed event. Several of the sport’s biggest names have publicly expressed interest in participating, including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. Regarding Jones’ participation, White estimated the odds at “a billion to one,” due to his recent retirement and his history of problems outside the octagon.“It was a great day. I’m about to take off from Washington, D.C.,” White said in his video, recorded aboard a plane. “The fight at the White House is on. I’ll have more details in the coming weeks. We did it today.”
