Serhii Bohachuk Seeks Revenge Against Brandon Adams on the Canelo vs. Crawford Card

Boxer Serhii Bohachuk will have the opportunity to avenge his knockout loss in 2021 against Brandon Adams. Both pugilists will face each other again as part of the preliminary card of the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford event, scheduled for September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. UFC and Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White revealed that the Bohachuk-Adams 2 fight will be 10 rounds and will be contested at a catchweight of 156 pounds. This fight will be added to five other preliminary fights that will be broadcast on YouTube.

This is a rematch of a brutal fight between these two. Adams had to win by knockout, and he did.

The first clash between Bohachuk (25-2, 24 KOs) and Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) took place in a more modest setting under COVID-19 restrictions at the Félix Pagán Pintor Municipal Boxing Gym in Puerto Rico. Adams, who was losing on the scorecards, managed a comeback to knock out Bohachuk in the eighth round.

Since his defeat to Adams, Bohachuk has had a record of 7-1, with his only other defeat by majority decision to Vergil Ortiz Jr. last August. The YouTube prelims will also feature 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Ivan Dychko (15-0, 14 KOs), who will face Jermaine Franklin in a 10-round heavyweight bout. Franklin (23-2, 15 KOs) is known for his durability and has gone the distance in his losses against Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. The other fights on the preliminary card, which will begin airing at 5:30 p.m. ET on Netflix’s YouTube channel, are:
  • Junior Lightweight: Reito Tsutsumi (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Javier Martínez (7-2, 4 KOs), six rounds
  • Super Middleweight: Steven Nelson (20-1, 16 KOs) vs. Raiko Santana (12-4, 6 KOs), 10 rounds
  • Super Middleweight: Marcos Verde (2-0, 1 KO) vs. To be determined, six rounds
  • Junior Welterweight: Sultan Almohamed (professional debut) vs. Martín Caraballo (0-0-1), four rounds
