Rahaman Ali, brother of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, passes away
The boxing world mourns the loss of Rahaman Ali, younger brother of the iconic Muhammad Ali, who passed away at the age of 82. The Muhammad Ali Center confirmed the death, which occurred on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed. Rahaman followed in the footsteps of his older brother, venturing into professional boxing between 1964 and 1972. During his career, he achieved a record of 14 wins, 3 losses, and one draw. After retiring from the ring, Rahaman remained close to Muhammad, even training alongside him.
You cannot tell the story of Muhammad without mentioning Rahaman. He was one of the most constant sources of support for Muhammad during his career and their relationship was a true example of what it means to be my brother’s keeper.
