Zheng Qinwen Undergoes Surgery on Right Elbow

Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen, currently ranked sixth in the world, has undergone arthroscopic surgery on her right elbow. The intervention was performed due to “persistent pain” that the player has experienced for several months. The 22-year-old Olympic champion, who suffered a first-round defeat at Wimbledon against Katerina Siniakova, announced the success of the operation on Saturday.

“Over the past few months, I have been dealing with persistent pain in my right elbow during training and matches. Despite trying various treatments to manage it, the discomfort never completely disappeared,” stated the right-handed tennis player in a post.
