Mascherano talks about the possible arrival of De Paul to Inter Miami

The Argentine coach Javier Mascherano has addressed the possibility of Rodrigo De Paul joining Inter Miami. Although there is no official confirmation, Mascherano expressed his enthusiasm for the idea.

“There’s nothing official,” Mascherano stated, but added, “if there’s a possibility of him arriving, he’ll be more than welcome.”

Mascherano highlighted the quality of De Paul, world champion, and how his incorporation could benefit the team. The coach considers that the Atlético de Madrid player “obviously would improve” the current squad. The coach also referred to the next match against the New York Red Bulls, emphasizing the importance of getting a win to positively close out the MLS series of matches. Inter Miami, with Leo Messi at the helm, has had a mixed performance recently, including three victories and one defeat against Cincinnati. Mascherano also commented on the players’ rest after the match against New York and the participation of some, like Messi, in the MLS All-Star game.

“I would like them to be able to rest after the ordeal that is coming, but it’s not my issue. I know how important the All-Star is here in this league, in this country,” he stated.
