Two young men captured in La Vega for alleged aggravated robbery and criminal association
The National Police reported the arrest of two young men in the province of La Vega, who were being actively sought under a judicial warrant for their alleged involvement in crimes of aggravated robbery and criminal association.
The detainees were identified by the authorities as Main Arismendy Guzmán Peralta, 21, and José Rafael Pérez Holguín, known in the criminal underworld as “El Toro,” 22. The capture was carried out by the Operations team of the National Police’s Regional Sub-directorate of Investigations.
Legal procedure details
The operation was carried out in strict compliance with arrest warrant number 2026-AJ0071261, which was issued by judicial authorities on August 19, 2026. According to preliminary reports, both individuals were wanted for their alleged responsibility in criminal acts committed against the citizen Carmen Delia Núñez Abreu.
Those involved face charges for the alleged violation of articles 265, 266, 379, 382, and 383 of the Dominican Penal Code, which define and sanction criminal association and various forms of theft.
So far, the law enforcement institution has not provided details regarding the exact circumstances under which the events under investigation occurred, nor about the level of individual participation attributed to each of those involved.
Following their arrest, Guzmán Peralta and Pérez Holguín have been placed in police custody and will be presented before the Public Prosecutor’s Office to answer for the accusations against them and for the corresponding judicial measures to proceed.
