Justice demanded following wave of robberies at commercial establishment
Citizen Camilo Guzmán, owner of the business Cami Vaper and Smoker, has raised his voice to the authorities after being the victim of two consecutive robberies allegedly perpetrated by the same individuals. The young businessman seeks justice and for the safety of his environment to be guaranteed after receiving direct threats.
According to the victim’s account, the first incident occurred on August 30th while leaving a nightclub, where he was intercepted by two men identified as Mario and Jarol. During that episode, Guzmán was robbed of 50,000 pesos in cash, personal documents, a cell phone, and a valuable piece of jewelry.
A second direct attack on the business
Far from ceasing their actions, the suspects allegedly broke into Guzmán’s commercial establishment on September 7th. During this second robbery, the businessman, his partner, an employee, and other customers were victims of the perpetrators.
- Subtraction of 19 thousand pesos from the owner.
- Theft of cash and an iPhone 15 from Guzmán’s partner.
- Dispossession of 15 thousand pesos from an employee of the establishment.
- Loss of mobile devices from others present at the business.
I want justice to be served and for those responsible for these acts to be found. I work to support my family and I am only looking to recover what has been taken from me.

Legal measures and threats
Guzmán claims to possess compelling evidence, including security camera recordings, which will facilitate the work of the investigators. However, the young man reported that he has received death threats aimed at intimidating him into dropping the judicial process, warning him of possible armed attacks against his business.
In response to the complaint, the Public Prosecutor’s Office formally requested an arrest warrant against the accused, Mario and Jarol. Judge Karen G. Casado Minyety, of the Permanent Attention Jurisdiction of the Judicial District of Santo Domingo, granted the request after evaluating the evidence presented.
The magistrate has instructed that, once the arrests are executed, the fundamental rights of the accused must be respected, and they must be brought before the justice system within the deadlines established by the Constitution.
