Francisco “K-Rod” Rodríguez: A Latin Baseball Icon Enters the Hall of Fame

Punta Cana – The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the induction of Venezuelan pitcher Francisco “K-Rod” Rodríguez as a member of the Class of 2025. This recognition celebrates an exceptional career that positions him as one of the most outstanding closers in the history of baseball.

With 437 saves in Major League Baseball (MLB), Rodríguez ranks fourth historically in this important statistic, securing his place among the legends of the mound. During his 16 seasons in the Majors, he demonstrated an impressive ability to perform under pressure, earning him six All-Star selections, two American League saves leader titles, and a World Series championship in 2002 with the Anaheim Angels.

A high point in his career was in 2008, when he set a record of 62 saves in a single season, a mark that still remains unbeaten.

Rodriguez left his mark on the Anaheim Angels, the New York Mets, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Detroit Tigers, thanks to his dedication, competitive spirit, and dominance on the field.

In addition to his successful career in MLB, the Venezuelan pitcher represented his country in multiple editions of the World Baseball Classic, solidifying his status as a symbol of Latin baseball worldwide.

The exaltation ceremony will take place at the end of this year, where Francisco Rodríguez will share this honor with other notable figures in baseball, including Miguel Tejada, Julio César Franco, Bartolo Colón and Adrián González, forming one of the most memorable classes in the history of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame.
