La Romana unites in prayer for the peace and well-being of the Dominican Republic

The province of La Romana was the setting for a significant national day of prayer, an event that brought together a wide representation of civil and military authorities and government officials. The main purpose of the meeting was to raise a collective cry for peace, the protection of families, and the integral development of the Dominican Republic.

The activity, held in the Provincial Government’s auditorium, was led by Governor Ivelisse Mercedes Méndez. She was accompanied by prominent local figures, including the provincial director of Health, Dr. Carmen Jiménez, Mayor Eduardo Kery Metivier, and Congresswoman Jacqueline Fernández, who, along with other state representatives, reaffirmed their commitment to the nation’s fundamental values.

A clamor without distinctions

Beyond institutional differences, the event managed to bring together religious leaders, political figures, business owners, and members of civil society. In an act of unity, attendees gathered regardless of denomination to intercede for the peace and security of all Dominicans.

Authorities and different sectors of La Romana united in the same clamor for peace, protection, and the blessing of the Dominican Republic.
