Police operation in Capotillo results in the seizure of thousands of cigarettes
In a strategic action aimed at strengthening citizen security, agents of the National Police managed to seize 55,600 cigarette units in the Ensanche Capotillo sector, located in the National District. The discovery occurred during routine preventive patrol work in the area.
The operation took place specifically on Respaldo José Martí street, in the vicinity of a sports court in the sector. After an inspection of a house that was abandoned, the officers located six sacks that were hiding the illicit merchandise.

- Configuration: Each pack contained 10 cartons of 20 units each.
Following the discovery, the officers proceeded with the transfer of the cigarettes to the Ensanche Luperón police station. There, the products remained under official custody, complying with the legal protocols established for these types of cases.
The authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation process with the aim of clarifying the origin of this merchandise and determining who is responsible for its illegal storage and distribution in the National District.
