World Compliance Association celebrates the second edition of the Ethics & Compliance Awards 2026
The World Compliance Association, Dominican Republic chapter (WCA-RD), successfully held the second edition of the Ethics & Compliance Awards 2026. The fundamental purpose of this event was to highlight the professionals and projects that have marked a milestone in the promotion of ethics, innovation, and the strengthening of the compliance culture in the national territory.
The ceremony, held at the Cava Alta restaurant facilities in Santo Domingo, brought together prominent figures from the sector. During the meeting, Tania de León, president of the WCA-RD, highlighted the importance of these awards for the corporate ecosystem.
Recognizing good practices is also a way to multiply them and build benchmarks that inspire others. This edition reflects the existence of an increasingly mature compliance community, committed and aware of its impact on society.

Boosting corporate integrity
For his part, the secretary general of the WCA-RD, Babaji Cruz, emphasized that the organization’s goal is to continue fostering spaces that connect both the public and private sectors. As he indicated, this effort seeks to consolidate a culture of integrity that is a pillar in the country’s development.
The selection process was rigorous, as detailed by Ruth de los Santos, who represented the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) on the evaluation committee. The candidacies were examined individually and subsequently subjected to a collegiate deliberation, highlighting the high quality of the profiles submitted this year.
Winners of the 2026 Ethics & Compliance Awards
- Compliance Ambassador 2026: Emerson Díaz Cabral and María Camilo, for their constant work in strengthening the compliance culture.
- Innovative Compliance 2026: Paola Clisante and Roberto Mella, for the development of cutting-edge tools in the field.
- Outstanding Associate of the Year 2026: Elizabeth Hart, for her dedication and significant contributions to the WCA community.
- Ethics & Compliance Career Achievement: Cibeles Jiménez, for her sustained commitment to professional ethics.
The WCA-RD Board of Directors also granted special recognitions. Rosanna Ruiz was honored for her vision and fundamental support during the association’s beginnings in the country in 2021, from her position at the Association of Multiple Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA). Likewise, journalist Luis David Flores was awarded for his outstanding informative work, which has allowed compliance topics to reach a wider and more diverse audience through his journalistic coverage.
