Jin Hee Im and Somi Lee claim the title at the Dow Championship
In an exciting finish, Jin Hee Im and Somi Lee, representing South Korea, were crowned champions of the Dow Championship after a dramatic playoff. The event, which took place on Sunday, saw the South Koreans overcome the American duo of Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang. The playoff, played on the first hole, saw Im sink a birdie putt from 8 feet away, sealing the victory. Khang had the opportunity to extend the playoff, but missed a 5-foot birdie putt. Thompson and Khang had tied at the top with an impressive score of 20 under par, thanks to a 60 in the fourballs format. Thompson achieved a birdie on the 18th hole, while Khang came close to securing the tie. Lee also shined, with a 10-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole, tying for the lead. Im and Lee had birdie opportunities on the 18th hole, but failed to convert them in the regular round. The tiebreaker was played in foursomes format. Thompson left his tee shot just 5 feet from the 18th hole. Lee approached the hole, but Im was the one who finally holed the winning putt. It’s a shame to miss the last putt in the playoff, but I’m happy with our performance.

Lindy Duncan and Miranda Wang tied for third place, followed by Manon De Roey and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard. Albane Valenzuela and Sarah Schmelzel, who were leading after 54 holes, finished in fifth place. The Dow Championship is the only team event on the LPGA schedule.I can’t believe it.
