Wimbledon 2025: Analysis and Predictions
The Wimbledon tournament kicks off this Monday, with Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion on two occasions, as the main favorite in the men’s division. Closely following him are Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, who also aspire to the title. In the women’s division, the competition is more open. Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, and Iga Swiatek could win their first Wimbledon title, as could other competitors. Alofoke Deportes consulted its experts to get their predictions and best bets.Who will take the women’s title and why?
It’s important to consider that Sabalenka has missed two of the last three Wimbledons. However, it’s difficult to predict another winner. In recent years, Wimbledon has had surprising champions in the women’s division, and I think that trend will continue in 2025. It’s difficult to feel confident in choosing the winner. Therefore, it’s better to bet on a favorite like Sabalenka.

Swiatek, seeded number 8, comes to this tournament with less pressure than in other events. In addition, she is playing the best tennis of her career on this surface. Last week, in Bad Homburg, she reached her first grass court final, demonstrating her high level. Swiatek has never advanced past the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, and could face Elena Rybakina and Gauff in later rounds. Nevertheless, this could be the perfect moment for Swiatek to regain her best form. There is no clear favorite for this tournament. Gauff and Sabalenka have shown a great level throughout the season, and both could win their first title at Wimbledon. However, I’m going with Swiatek.
D’Arcy Maine
Sabalenka deserves to be the favorite, but she has a complicated draw. Rybakina, one of the few former champions in the tournament, will be dangerous if she overcomes Swiatek, and Gauff is also a strong contender. However, I think Madison Keys will perform great.I agree with the choice of Swiatek, but when in doubt, you have to go with number 1. Sabalenka has lost four of her last six finals, but she is very reliable. She has reached seven finals this year.

Who will win the men’s title and why?
Alcaraz is the favorite to achieve the triple at Wimbledon. His athleticism, especially his movement on the grass court, his power and his touch, have made him a great grass player.
Shriver
I’d like to say Djokovic, but I can’t bet against Alcaraz. I think the Spaniard will win his sixth Grand Slam trophy and his third consecutive Wimbledon.
Maine
Sinner is closing the gap with Alcaraz, but I can’t overlook how favorable Alcaraz’s draw is. If we get to another Sinner-Alcaraz final, I’ll be tempted to pick Sinner. But it’s more likely that Alcaraz will get there.
Connelly
I can’t choose anyone other than Alcaraz. He has won the title in the last two years, and if he achieves it for a third time, he would do something that John McEnroe and Boris Becker never achieved.

Betting Tips
Pamela Maldonado’s Bets:Who will win in the women’s division? Sabalenka +240. For a favorite, this is not an easy draw. However, if Sabalenka serves well and keeps her composure, she has the power to advance. The key is to survive the third round. If she overcomes Marketa Vondrousova, her confidence could grow all the way to the final.Who will win in the men’s bracket? Alcaraz +120. Alcaraz has a favorable draw towards the final. No opponent has the foot speed, mental durability, or versatility on grass to seriously trouble Alcaraz. The worst-case scenario? Losing a set due to errors or a weak tiebreak. The test will be in the final, likely against Sinner or Djokovic. I would bet that Alcaraz reaches the final.Andre Snellings’ Bets:Who will win in the women’s division? Any American (+275). Gauff (+750) has the fourth-best odds to win Wimbledon, and is coming off winning her second Grand Slam singles title at this year’s French Open. Keys (+1200) has the fifth-best odds, has an 11-1 record in major tournaments this season, including her victory at the Australian Open, and has the best record among active players on grass (50-18). Pegula (+2000) reached the US Open final last year, is a good grass player (12-6 record, 66.7% win rate since 2023) and just defeated Swiatek in the final to win the Bad Homburg Open.Who will win in the men’s division? Alcaraz (+120). Alcaraz has been nearly unbeatable on grass for three seasons, with a 25-1 record and four titles, including the last two Wimbledon championships. Alcaraz won on grass again earlier this month, taking the Queen’s Club Championship, an ATP 500 level, for the second time. And Alcaraz has an edge over the players with the second and third best odds. Sinner is the top seed, but Alcaraz has had his number lately, winning all five head-to-head matches since 2023 and eight of their 12 overall meetings. Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in each of the last two Wimbledon finals. What is your favorite bet for the women’s bracket?Maldonado: Both Emma Raducanu and Sabalenka win in straight sets in the first round (-105). Raducanu doesn’t need to overcome Mingge Xu to win in straight sets. Xu can compete, but Raducanu’s return game and baseline consistency should break her down over time. Sabalenka’s first-round opponent, Carson Branstine, lacks the pace to disrupt her rhythm. It’s hard to see more than a few games on the scoreboard.Snellings: Iga Swiatek to win (+650). Although names like Rybakina (+550 to win), Andreeva (+1600) and Jasmine Paolini (+2800) are also on my radar, for some reason, Swiatek is catching my eye. After spending much of the last few years as the best tennis player, Swiatek has been flying under the radar this season. Although she hasn’t won tournaments at the rate she has before, Swiatek has been playing very good tennis this season. She reached the semi-finals in both Grand Slams and reached the final of the Bad Homburg Open last week. What is your favorite bet for the men’s bracket?Maldonado: Roberto Bautista Agut (-120) over Cameron Norrie in the first round. It’s about trusting discipline and experience on grass. RBA’s flat shots stay low and adapt to the surface, while Norrie’s looping forehand and passive tolerance haven’t looked good in 2025. With RBA showing flashes of vintage form on this grass swing, he is the more reliable baseline player in a matchup that favors precision over spin.Snellings: Djokovic to win (+600). Djokovic has hinted that this could be his last season on the circuit, which would make this his last Wimbledon. Outside of the Australian Open, where Djokovic won 10 of his record 24 Grand Slam titles, the Wimbledon grass has been his best surface. Djokovic has won seven Wimbledon crowns, including four of the last six. His only two losses at the All England Club since 2018 have been in the last two finals against Alcaraz. With this draw, Djokovic would not see Alcaraz until the final, and would not face Sinner until the semifinals. It’s a difficult task to ask anyone to overcome both Sinner and Alcaraz in a major tournament, but if anyone could, it would be Djokovic. What is your favorite long-term bet to win the women’s title?Maldonado: Jessica Pegula +2000. She is undervalued with a clean initial draw and no opponents in the top 10 until the quarterfinals. Her consistency and court smarts combine well with Mirra Andreeva and Gauff, who can implode under pressure. If Pegula reaches the final, she has already exceeded the odds and has the tools to frustrate a big hitter like Sabalenka.Snellings: Vondrousova +2000. Vondrousova is the most dangerous unseeded player in the tournament. She won Wimbledon in 2023 after missing a lot of time due to injuries and falling completely out of the rankings and is looking to do the same this season. Vondrousova has missed most of the last year due to hand and shoulder injuries, but returned for the French Open and, earlier this month, won her first tournament since 2023 at the Berlin Open. That tournament is also played on grass, and Vondrousova defeated 2024 Australian Open champion Madison Keys, two-time Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur, and Sabalenka, the current world number 1 and top seed at Wimbledon. What is your favorite long-term bet to win the men’s title?Maldonado: Djokovic +600. The Djoker is the most dangerous long-term bet: the one with seven Wimbledon titles and a thorn in his side. Sinner may be the top seed, but he is not a guarantee to reach the final after a heartbreaking loss to Alcaraz at Roland Garros, a recent coaching change, and an exit from the Halle Open against Alexander Bublik. If Djokovic overcomes Sinner, or if Sinner falls before, Djokovic will likely face Alcaraz in the final. And after a five-set clash in 2023 and a post-surgery defeat in 2024 against Alcaraz at Wimbledon, this seems to be Novak’s revenge tour on the surface he still owns.Snellings: Any American (+1800). Taylor Fritz is the highest-seeded American at number 5, and the top seed in his semifinal bracket is number 3 Alexander Zverev, whom Fritz defeated last year at Wimbledon and at the US Open. Fritz reached the US Open final last season and already has a grass court title this season, winning the Stuttgart Open last week by defeating, you guessed it, Zverev in the final. His big serve and surprising mobility, given his size, will serve Fritz well on grass.Ben Shelton, seeded number 10, is also one to watch. He has a massive serve that has helped him reach the semifinals of the two major hard court tournaments (2023 US Open, 2025 Australian Open). He reached the fourth round of Wimbledon last year in only his second appearance at the event. Tommy Paul, seeded number 13, has reached the quarterfinals in three of the last four major tournaments, including last year’s Wimbledon. Frances Tiafoe (seeded number 12), Brandon Nakashima (29), and Alex Michelsen (30) are the other seeded American men. Tiafoe and Nakashima have reached the fourth round at Wimbledon. Michelsen is only 20 years old and has only played in one Wimbledon, losing in the first round, but he has already reached the finals in two grass court tournaments in his young career.
Any of the above would be long-term bets to win, but with this bet you can try your luck with all of them. I also like the other special, any American man to reach the final (+700).
