The experienced quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has confirmed that the 2025 NFL season will be the last of his career. At 41 years old, the player plans to hang up his helmet after a two-decade career in the league.

I’m pretty sure that’s how it will be. That’s why I signed a one-year contract. What better place to finish than in one of the most important NFL franchises with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leaders and great players in a city that expects you to win?

Rodgers, who signed a one-season contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on June 6th, seeks to close his career at one of the most emblematic franchises in the NFL. The quarterback, Super Bowl XLV champion with the Green Bay Packers, has made it clear that this will be the final chapter of his outstanding career. During his time in the league, Rodgers has been recognized as one of the best in his position, accumulating impressive statistics and leaving an indelible mark on the sport. The quarterback played 18 seasons (2005-2022) for the Green Bay Packers, the team that selected him in the first round of the 2005 Draft. In 2023, Rodgers generated great expectation by joining the New York Jets, but an Achilles tendon injury in the first week of the season cut short his participation. His recovery for 2024 generated optimism, but the team had an unfavorable season. So far, Rodgers has completed 5,369 passes for 62,952 yards and 503 touchdowns, with 116 interceptions. In addition, he has added 3,573 yards and 35 touchdowns on the ground.
